Abstract

Luis Gonzalo Perera Ferrer (Rocha, 15 de septiembre de 1966 – La Paloma, Rocha, 1.º de septiembre de 2024) fue un destacado matemático, estadístico, docente, investigador, divulgador y constructor institucional uruguayo. Su trayectoria integró la rigurosidad teórica de la probabilidad y la estadística con una vocación aplicada e interdisciplinaria, orientada a aportar soluciones a problemas reales.

Profesora Adjunta del departamento de Modelización Estadística de Datos e Inteligencia Artificial del Centro Universitario regional Este (CURE-Udelar), fue su directora interina en el período 2024-2025 y previamente fue directora de gestión del Polo de Desarrollo Universitario Modelización y Análisis de Recursos Naturales en el período 2016 -2020 (MAREN, CURE- Udelar)
