JORNADA MEDIA - Building Spaces for Applied Statistics

We are pleased to invite you to an event organized by the Department of Statistical Data Modeling and Artificial Intelligence (MEDIA) at CURE, taking place on September 2 starting at 4:00 PM.

The event will center on the formal presentation of the Revista de Estadística Aplicada (Journal of Applied Statistics), the presentation of the book Estadística para aplicadxs (Statistics for Practitioners), and the official launch of the 9th Applied Statistics Conference (2027).

We will be joined by the Rector and other university authorities, as well as prominent leaders connected to each of these initiatives, who will offer brief remarks during the presentations.

At the end, we will have a toast and a short closing session with live music.

We hope this will be a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate these collective projects.

We would love to have you join us. For those attending in person and traveling from Montevideo, a bus service is being specially organized for the occasion. Alternatively, the event can also be followed virtually.
